1. The measure of doing.
From do, and -metry, from the Greek metron, “measure”: the same root as geometry, the study of shapes that hold.
A project is a kind of geometry. Its parts have to meet, its weight has to be carried, and its progress should be something you can measure. We built Dometry for that.
Every piece carries the others.
A dome stands because each stone leans on its neighbours. Dometry is built the same way. A spec knows which stories it shapes. A story shows every page and file that mentions it. A whiteboard holds live cards for the work it plans.

Agents
Held to the same measure.
Give your agent a key and one address. The first thing it reads is a guide written for agents: how your projects are laid out, how to pick up a story, when to stop and ask, and what it may never do.
So it arrives knowing the job. No long prompt, no rules to repeat each time. Any AI can connect, through a plain API or an MCP server.
- It takes work properly. It claims the story, notes each decision and the files it touched, and finishes with a handoff a person can read.
- It asks when it should. Stuck on a decision, it asks the person responsible, offers the choices, and waits for the answer.
- It stays within bounds. Its key opens only what you allow, and never more than you could do yourself.
- It never deletes. Deleting is for people. An agent asks instead.
