Dometry is a project management service run by Dustin Barnes ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use dometry.io and the Dometry app, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@dometry.io.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, a secure hash of your password (never the password itself), and your settings.
- What you put in Dometry: work items, sprints, comments, docs, files, whiteboards and anything else you or your team add. We call this your content.
- Agents: the agents you create, their keys (stored only as a secure hash), their settings, and a record of what they do, so you can see and review it.
- Usage and logs: your IP address, browser, and the times and addresses of requests, kept to run the service securely and fix problems.
- Payments: when paid plans are available, payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your plan, billing contact and invoices, but never your card number.
- Cookies: one cookie keeps you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, send the emails you've asked for (sign-in, invitations, notifications you can turn off), support you, bill for paid plans, and improve Dometry. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
Agents you connect
When you connect an AI agent (for example Claude or ChatGPT) to Dometry, it reads and changes what your key allows, on your instructions. What it reads is then processed by that agent's provider under your agreement with them, not ours. Give each agent only the access it needs.
Who helps us run Dometry
We use a small number of service providers, each only for what they do for us:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, file storage and sending email.
- Cloudflare: this website, and our domain.
- Stripe: payments, once paid plans are available.
We'll update this list before adding another provider that handles your information.
No health information
Dometry isn't built for health records and isn't covered by HIPAA. Please don't store protected health information (patients' health details) in it.
How long we keep it
We keep your content while your account and organization exist. When you delete something, it's removed from Dometry, and from our backups within 35 days. We keep billing records as long as the law requires.
Security
Connections are encrypted, each organization's data is kept apart by the database itself, and access inside your team follows the roles you set. No service is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you promptly.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your account details in the app, and turn notifications off. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it or your whole account, by writing to support@dometry.io. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, and we'll honor them.
Children
Dometry isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or by email before it takes effect.
